LoneOak Timber’s goal is to make the process of selling your timber as painless and stress free as we possibly can. If your timber is not ready for harvesting, we will inform you of this. If your timber is ready for harvest, we will work with you to create a timber management plan outlining the value of your timber and the harvest details. We offer select cut to allow smaller timber to grow to full maturity. We will always show you how our timber compares to the Annual Purdue Stumpage report.
SPECIES THAT WE BUY
LoneOak Timber buys all species of hardwood timber. including Hard Maple, Poplar, Soft Maple, Ash, Red Oak, Hickory, Pin-oak and all native species in our region. Minimum requirement of 18″ diameter chest high of tree. We specialize in White Oak and Walnut with an emphasis on high quality veneer trees.
YARD TREE POLICY
LoneOak Timber would like to help everyone looking to sell, but we do have items in which we are unable to purchase.
For Example:
Trees that are located near dwellings and in yards (often containing metal which poses liability issues).
Individual cases vary, but to justify the cost of moving equipment LoneOak Timber will typically need 10 acres of timber or more. LoneOak Timber also understands that there are special circumstances and therefore encourage you to contact us!
If you own several large white oak trees or clear walnut trees the value they provide might possibly justify the cost. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you are unsure!
